Cameron Newby
Cameron Newby
Cameron began playing live shows at a very young age, getting his start at the Rodeo Opry and Oklahoma Opry in Oklahoma City. He was a regular on both shows from 2000 until 2010, and during that time he honed his skills and developed his stage presence. As a young entertainer, he had opportunities
to play in various other live settings across the state of Oklahoma and Texas with audience sizes ranging from a few hundred people to several thousand. Cameron has been recognized with several state-wide honors through the Country Music Singers Association including Male Vocalist of the Year and
Entertainer of the Year. He has also been recognized multiple times as the Male Vocalist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year on the national level by the North American Country Music Association,International.

Cameron transitioned from a young talent to an upcoming artist in 2008, when he started writing music and developing his own image as an Oklahoma grown, Red Dirt country artist. Since then, he has played shows in venues across Oklahoma such as the Poncan Theater, McSwain Theater, Will Rogers
Theater, and Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill at the Winstar Casino, Hard Rock Casino, and Bricktown. He places a high emphasis on the energy of his live performance, and does his best to make the stage his home. His major influences include Cody Canada, Stoney LaRue, and Wade Bowen, and he models his performances after the experiences he has had in watching them play over the years. Cameron says “These guys got it right. They play music that means something to them, and their crowd, and they just have a blast doing it. You can really tell they enjoy every second of each live performance. I
love the fact that these guys connect and care about the people they play to, and it isn’t about making money. That’s what I want to do with my life, because of these guys.” Cameron has taken that vision, and pursued it full force.

In 2010, Cameron moved to Nashville to pursue his music career and also a degree in Music Business from Belmont University. Since moving, Cameron has had opportunities to work on his writing, add to his recording experience, and start laying a foundation for building his own music career. He has
recorded in several recording studios on Music Row, including world-renowned studios: Ocean Way Nashville and RCA Studio B. Cameron travels back and forth between Nashville and Oklahoma frequently to play his music for his fans at home who have loyally supported him and watched him grow and
develop as an artist.
